The camp Liptovský Trnovec is situated 6 kms from Liptovský Mikuláš on the northen bank of the man-made lake Liptovská Mara.

The capacity of the camp is 1000 people. Guests have the opportunity to use electricity in their caravans. The camping area is grassy with some pine and green trees. There are not appointed camp plots. The central building with WC, showers, and facilities for washing is available to all the guests, of course, also the disabled ones. There is drinking water in the whole camp. Apart from the conditions for camping and living in tents the camp also provides the accommodation in wooden cottages. Each of these cottages is equipped with WC, showers, two sinks and a refrigerator. Four are Rour – bedded rooms in the cottages. The entire capacity is 88 people.

The camp has got a minigolf, beach – volleyball playground for children. There is also the possibility to hire bicycles and boats. Guests can take advantage of the school of surfing and kayak. If the weather is not suitable for swimming in the lake guests can visit AQUAPARK Ráztoky (2,5km) or village Bešeňová with its warm thermal water pools ( 15 km). There is also a grocery shop and a kitchenette in the camp. The camp Buffets offer a wide range of hot meals and a restaurant is some 200 meters distant from the camp.

Exchange and information office together with a shop selling postcards, maps and telephone cards are available to the guests directly at the reception. There are also two telephone boxes. Our guests can also take advantage of our free-of-charge left bicycles watched service.

There are wonderful conditions for water sports and fishing in the camp and the visitors interested in fishing can buy their fishing licenses at the reception. The camp has got an ideal position for those interested not only in water sports but also in hill walking. Surrounding mountains offer a wide range of either not very demanding walks (The Western Tatras, The Choč hills, The Low Tatras) or more demanding possibilities for mountain walking and climbing in the near High Tatras (45 km). Beautiful caves in the Demänová valley (20 km) or in Važec (25 km) are also nearby. The admirers of folk architecture can visit the museum of Liptov village in Pribylina where also the presentations of folk groups often take place. A visit of the picturesque village Vlkolínec, which has been registered as a part of world's culture heritage by UNESCO, is a very nice experience, as well. Those interested in history will be pleased to see the Celtic settlement HAVRÁNOK (15 km) and also the museums in Liptovský Mikuláš. There are really many and various ways of how to spend free time while staying in our camp.
